Is Airbrush Tanning safe?
Yes! EC Beauty Studio uses only the best, highest quality products in the industry. All of the ingredients in our solution have been tested and approved by the FDA. Our solution will give you a tan without the risk of wrinkles, skin damage or skin cancer.
What do I wear during my session?
If you are a woman, you may wear the bottom of a swimsuit, a thong, or disposable underwear which we provide. If you wish to have no tan line that is also fine.
*If you are a man, we require that you use an undergarment.
How long does the application take?
It takes approximately 15 minutes to get sprayed and 10 minutes for it to completely dry. We booked spray tanning appointment for 30 minutes.
How do I prepare for my tan?
You must exfoliate, this is important! Exfoliate your skin the night before or the morning of your appointment to remove dead skin cells. Please exfoliate several hours prior to your session.
Avoid wearing make-up, perfumes, lotions, oils, or any products on the skin that could create a barrier. Your skin must be completely dry so please allow enough time between your shower and appointment.
Shave or wax at least 8 hours before your session to minimize irritation. If you waxed the morning of your appointment we recommend that you shower before your tanning session.
No sunburns, sunburns have a possibility of peeling, which will peel your spray tan.
What should I wear?
Please dress in dark, loose fitting clothing or in a loose sun dress. We recommend for you to wear long loose pants and a long sleeve shirt. Tight clothing, jeans, or long socks are not recommended.
Will the solution stain my clothes?
Wool and light colored nylon fabrics are candidates for staining. Cotton fabrics will get dirty, but the solution will wash out easily.
How do I maintain my new tan?
Avoid any contact with water for at least 8-12 hours after your appointment. We recommend our clients not to shower or exercise for at least 8 hours.
Wear loose clothing after tanning for at least 6 hours. No tight jeans or high socks because the tan will rub and streak.
It's important to moisturize after every shower. Avoid any products with alcohol and AHA it will cause your tan to fade.
Avoid long hot showers or baths.
How long will my tan last?
Your tan will last 6-10 days depending on how well you take care of your skin. Keep in mind that just like a natural suntan, the results are temporary and the outer layer of your skin is continuously sloughing off.
How often can I get sprayed?
Once a week.
Can I get sprayed even if I can't get a real tan?
Yes! Airbrush Spray Tanning does not need your melanocytes to be in working order. The DHA ingredient saturates the dead skin cells in the outermost layer of the skin, turning the protein in the dead cells brown.
Does my spray tan protect me in the sun?
No, it's important to use a topical sunscreen to protect your skin from the harmful UVB/UBA rays. Tanning solutions do not contain any sunscreens.
What if I have tan lines?
Airbrush tanning is a great way to blend tan lines.
How far in advance should I get my spray tan for my wedding?
We recommend a minimum of 24-48 hours prior to any occasion. It's best to have a trial run 4-6 weeks before any important occasion.
Why do you offer mobile tanning service and how do I prepare for it?
Our mobile service allows you to get a tan in the convenience of your home or office. A small pop up tent is utilized to protect your walls and furniture. All you need is yourself, an outlet, and 25 minutes to have a beautiful glow. We will need an area of 4ftX5ft.
